Volkaŭ M.A.(comp.)
"Outlines are different" is the name of the collection of hand-drawn drawings and drawings of Hetman Janusz Radziwill, which is a unique collection and has no close analogues in the Eastern European region. They depict a large number of buildings and landscapes of entire cities of the eastern lands of Belarus and Ukraine, which were severely damaged or completely destroyed during the war of 1648-1667. At the same time, this collection is a reflection on paper of the author and one of the most interesting and controversial figures in the history of the Rzeczpospolita in the 17th century. The book publishes drawings of the hetman from the National Historical Archive of Belarus and the Russian National Library, attributes them, analyzes the themes of images and individual plots, as well as the context of their creation.

( Серия Famous artists from Belarus )
Usava N.M., Usova N.M.
A joint project of the publishing house “Belarus” and the National Art Museum of Belarus. The series features more than 30 artists from Belarus, whose works are exhibited both in the permanent exhibition of the National Art Museum and in other museums around the world.
Each mini-album tells about the life and creative path of the artist and presents his works. The text is printed in Belarusian, Russian and English. Anatoly Aleksandrovich Anikeichik (July 11, 1932, Borisov - February 3, 1989, Minsk) - Belarusian sculptor, People's Artist of the BSSR (1972), professor (1981).
He was born into an intelligent family: his father was a doctor, his mother a teacher. From 1942 until the liberation of Belarus, he and his family were in the partisan region near Stuptsy. The older brother was a partisan and died a hero's death on the Oder in 1945. This subsequently determined the role of the theme of war in the sculptor’s work. At the age of 13 he became interested in sculpting.
In 1953, he entered the first intake of the sculpture department of the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute. The young sculptor’s teachers were A. Bembel and A. Glebov. Graduated from the institute in 1959. Since 1959 he has participated in art exhibitions. In 1962 he was accepted into the Union of Artists of the BSSR.
After graduating from the institute and until the end of his life, he taught at the sculpture department, which he headed in 1979.
In 1972, he became the youngest People's Artist of the BSSR.

Plays
Olʹkhovskai︠a︡ V.
The theater is a portal that opens the way to different stories and worlds. How to save yourself if a celestial fox starts hunting you? What to do if suddenly all the avatars you created on the Internet come to a meeting? How to win if your main rival turns out to be an avocado seed - and unexpectedly surpasses you in everything? Is it possible to cope with that very evil and terrible gray wolf if your parents settled him right in your house? What dark secret did bloggers disturb in the forest hut? And in general, how to understand your own life if everyone says that it is easy, but in reality it is sometimes so difficult? The answers to these and many other questions are waiting on the pages of the collection "Avatars of the Theater"!

Belarus. The land under white wings
Photoalbum
Kli︠a︡shchuk A.V.
The album of the famous Belarusian photojournalist Anatoly Kleshchuk “Land under White Wings” is the last collection of photographs he worked on personally during his lifetime.
Throughout his creative life, Anatoly Kleshchuk, through the lens of a camera, introduced readers and photo enthusiasts to the cultural and historical values of the country, its rituals and traditions, outstanding personalities and ordinary people with difficult, interesting destinies.
The golden piggy bank of the master’s creative heritage also includes photographs of Belarusian nature - from landscape sketches to portraits of representatives of the local fauna. And they are all imbued with a sincere feeling of affection and love for his native land. Such works can be seen in the new photo album. Earth under white wings... This is what the famous Belarusian writer Vladimir Korotkevich once called Belarus, meaning that against the background of the blue sky of our country, you can often see storks - beautiful stately birds that have long become an indisputable symbol of the Belarusian region. This apt metaphorical expression best reflects the theme of the photo album of landscapes, which was released by the "Belarus" publishing house. Anatoly Kleschuk created a truly wonderful and even fabulous image of our country in his artistic photographs - Earth under white wings...

Zenkovich explores how the various segments of the population of Belarus lived and thought in the last two decades of a phenomenon unprecedented in the history of mankind - the USSR: during the Brezhnev “stagnation” and Gorbachev's “perestroika”. Has the Soviet Union exhausted itself, should it have disintegrated? Did the creative forces inherent in him die along with him, and did not open up in full force? Children of war
their childhood ended in summer 1941
Karablikov I.M.
The authors of the memoirs presented in the book survived and stood firm, despite all the circumstances that were not in their favor. They had the mission of being witnesses of the immediate local events of the Great Patriotic War and of passing on what they saw, experienced, and suffered to future generations so that such things would never happen again. The children of war passed all the trials of wartime and post-war reconstruction with dignity and made a colossal contribution to our common Memory of the Great Victory. They are still in service today, being active public figures who care about everything that creatively fills our lives.

Drahichyn region
The beauty of a venus shoe ( Серия Travel to the native land )
Mart︠s︡inovich A.A.
The flower of Venus's shoes and the rarest bird in Europe, the flying squirrel, depicted on a guillotine coin of the National Bank of Belarus, are peculiar symbols of this picturesque place. The history of Drahičyn region is the ancient town of Zditau-na-Yaseldze, the village of Tarakan - once the residence of the ruler of the Basilian order, the fortress of Jaber, in front of which was the powerless army of Charles XII, the only stronghold of the Struve Geodetic Arc and the Polesie life of Eliza Orzeszko. Today's Drahičyn region is the only apron museum in the world, the uniqueness of local dialects, rich material and spiritual culture. Novels and stories
Kaluz︠h︡enina L.A.
The collection of short stories and short stories written by Larisa Kaluzhenina over the past decade covers a wide range of both historical and contemporary topics. The main thing for the author is the search for the real, native, his roots. The prose of life, the prose of everyday life, turns in her into a subtle, often poetic, psychologically reliable canvas, into a fascinating narrative with a bright, unexpected plot. The heroes of her stories are diverse: from business leaders, businessmen, journalists, writers and artists to those who are commonly called "ordinary people" - our contemporaries. Their destinies always arouse interest and sympathy - a rare quality for modern prose.

History of the Kupala Theater
Epoch. The city. People
Babkova V.U.i insh.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Kupala Theater, two books have been published: The History of the Kupala Theater and Scenography. Publications immediately became a bibliographic rarity. The Kupala residents themselves consider September 14, 1920, as their birthday, when the Belarusian State Theater was founded here, in the building of the city theater on Engels Street in Minsk. He acquired his full name later. So, the Great Patriotic War found the theater troupe during a tour in Odessa, from where, without returning to Minsk, they had to go to Tomsk. Already there, in 1944, the theater director Lev Litvinov staged the famous "Paўlinka" by Yanka Kupala, which later became the hallmark of the theater. In the same year, the theater was named after the Belarusian classic. “Thanks to the masterful embodiment of the national literary heritage, the Kupala Theater has become one of the cultural symbols of our country,” the head of state noted, calling his team a constellation of talents. “Today it preserves and enriches the glorious traditions of the Belarusian performing arts and rightfully has a high national status”. On August 12, 2020, the actors and staff of the National Academic Theater. Yanka Kupala recorded a collective video message and demanded to stop using force against protesters who disagree with the falsification of the results of the 2020 presidential elections in Belarus. On August 13, the theater staff also spoke in favor of a recount of votes in the presidential elections in Belarus with the participation of independent observers. On August 16, theater director Pavel Latushko and other actors of Kupalovsky signed an open appeal to the Belarusians, and in particular to the army, calling for an immediate resignation and the initiation of criminal proceedings against those who gave “criminal orders” and “all officials guilty of or involved in these crimes ". On August 17, theater director Pavel Latushko was fired. On August 26, 58 actors and staff were fired from the theater.

I was not killed near Rzhev. Father's Will
Documentary story
Sinenko V.G.
The author made an attempt to philosophically comprehend the Great Patriotic War, the events that took place over the course of seventy years of Soviet history. There is a search for answers to many acute questions that currently disturb society and do not find intelligible and solidary solutions. The roots of fascism, the causes of the Second World War and the global conflicts flaring up on the planet are considered. It is based on a family chronicle, the fate of a contemporary of the USSR, a front-line soldier who took a sip of dashing, but remained faithful to youthful ideals. As a document of the era, the memories of the hero of the book and the father of the author, Georgy Dmitrievich Sinenko, a participant in the Rzhev confrontation, are unique.

And today we are happy to present a new collection filled with love for our small homeland. ", - stressed Oksana Knizhnikova, Director General of the NBB during her speech.
According to the author, the work on the creation of the collection lasted about three months, but the poems were written much longer. “The main theme of my work is the whole life of a person, with which concepts such as mother, Motherland, fun, pain, war or cataclysms are inextricably linked. mostly old people live. But the village is our traditions, rituals, our roots, "- said Konstantin Tsybulsky.

Stories, narratives
Kunt︠s︡evich V.I.
It often happens that in life a person finds himself in a difficult situation. Why does this happen? There are many reasons, but most often he is led into a dead end by personal self-confidence, envy and, of course, the desire to quickly get a lot of money. To get out of a dead end, you need to go back. However, it happens that there is simply no way back, and a person needs to search, open a new path. This is what the literary heroes of the writer Viktor Kuntsevich do. In the development of events, the author uses a dynamic plot and elements of mysticism, which captivates the reader and makes him inextricably follow along with the literary heroes.

Leonid Shchemylev
Popular science publication ( Серия Famous artists from Belarus )
Krepak B.A. (comp.)
Joint project of "Belarus" publishing house and the National Art Museum of Belarus. The series presents more than 30 artists from Belarus, whose works are exhibited both in the permanent exhibition of the National Art Museum and in other museums of the world.
Each mini-album tells about the life and creative path of the artist, presents his works. The text is printed in Belarusian, Russian and English. People's Artist of Belarus Leonid Shchamyalev can be an example of how to create one's own destiny. Leonid Dmitriyevich Shchymalev did not live to his century by only three years. On February 5, our compatriot, who during his lifetime was called a legend of national art, could turn one hundred years old.
To be born in a city where there is art and Yudel Pen is already a chance. Shortly before he was murdered in his workshop in 1937, Penn approved the album of the future artist, saying that he needed to keep working. It seemed that the young man's future was decided.
After finishing the seven-year course in Vitebsk, he firmly intended to continue his education at the Art School, but the war began. Eighteen-year-old Leonid was drafted into the army in 1941. He reached the Kursk arc and in 1943 returned to Belarus to participate in the "Bagration" operation.
While still a student, the artist found his own style. He was ahead of his time and did not conform to Soviet canons.
The then Soviet academic school did not suit the author's sweeping, expressive brushwork and generous color scheme. Light-shade dynamic effects, bright colors created an unusually free spirit of the work. The lack of detail and the expressive manner were accepted long ago somewhere in their Paris, but not in the allowed Moscow-Soviet environment.
By the way, "Wedding" was lost for several decades. The author found it, by chance, behind the scenes of TYUG. Alena Aladova gladly took it to the collection of the Art Museum.

The inner circle of the benefactor perceived the burden that fell from heaven as another favorite or a hunter for someone else's inheritance and tried to arrange a hellish life for her - contempt, reproaches, ghosts, finally! But Tanya will find the strength to prove her disinterestedness. She will definitely win, and everything in her life will become right!

Beneath the Sky of Belarus
Photo album
Kli︠a︡shchuk A.V.
The author of the album is an avid traveler of the Belarusian countryside, sincerely in love with his native land, passionate about the profession for life, which inspires and gives many reasons to create colorful books, including the album you hold in your hands.
As if on a whim, on a seed, on a small drop, I collected and compiled this book, having traveled more than one thousand kilometers across our country. There were so many roads and paths that I lost count and stopped counting them. I always knew the purpose, meaning and fruits of such roads, so my professional box was replenished, from time to time there were photos in it, which over the years also please the eye and warm the heart. The most precious thing for them is the land given to you by fate. And this - the beauty of ancient landscapes, the harmony of ancient and modern architecture, the peculiarity of natural seasons, the leashes of the inhabitants of the Belarusian forests and swamps - birds and animals, identity and cultural traditions that are always in sight, from time immemorial with us.
I do not intend to attribute to myself the role of the discoverer of an unknown land in the center of Europe like Yegga Ipsodpia: today Belarus is already a widely known country in the world. The main thing for me is to show our compatriots and our guests the beauty, uniqueness of the ancient land of Belarusians, help to notice and appreciate its unusually attractive image, look differently even seen many times and rediscover something new.

The book is devoted to the study of one of the most terrible pages in the history of the Polotsk region in the 20th century - the genocide of the civilian population of Polotsk and the Polotsk region during the Great Patriotic War. During the years of occupation by the German Nazis, both the Red Army servicemen and the civilian population were subjected to physical extermination. An attempt to analyze the final data of the Extraordinary State Commission does not put an end to the issue of determining the losses of Soviet citizens. However, the identification of new places of executions within the city limits within the modern administrative boundaries and the study of the stories of victims and eyewitnesses show the direction of further research work. The book is intended for everyone interested in the history of Belarus, the topic of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.

Crimes of Poland and Lithuania against refugees
Facts and evidence

This kind of White Paper contains facts and documentary evidence of Belarusian and foreign journalists about crimes against refugees committed by the state authorities of Poland and Lithuania and representatives of various services of these states on the sections of the state border adjacent to Belarus in the second half of 2021. This is especially valuable given the fact that Poland, and to no small extent Lithuania, have chosen as a tactic a complete information blockade of the legal and humanitarian lawlessness they are creating on the border. It is not surprising that the chairman of the board of the Belarusian society "Knowledge", candidate of historical sciences Vadim Gigin, notes the demand for the publication outside the country:
“We are receiving information from Poland, Lithuania and those countries of the European Union where these refugees do end up. There is great interest in the book abroad. Several publishing houses in the European Union took the initiative to publish it.

Scenography. Yanka Kupala National Academic Theater
I︠A︡rmalinskai︠a︡ V.M. .i insh. (comp.)

The Great "Pobeda"
From a dream to a legend
Bondarenko V.V.
The book is based on the history of the creation and production of the legendary Soviet passenger car M-20 "Pobeda". Its development was a real labor feat of the Gorky Automobile Plant team. This is one of the world's first serial cars with a pontoon (wingless) body. It was produced in 1946-1958, but this car commands respect from both drivers and passengers. Beautiful, reliable, instantly recognizable "Pobeda" was the Main Car of a huge country - from Brest to Vladivostok. It became the same symbol as May 9 or Yuri Gagarin's flight into space.
