Following the same-name exhibition (The State Historical Museum of Russia, Moscow), the book pays tribute to life and great deeds of Princess Yekaterina Dashkova - one of the most remarkable women of the Russian Enlightenment. President of the Imperial Russian Academy and Director of St.Petersburg Academy of Sciences, she was the first one along with Derzhavin, Fonvizin and Knyazhnin to compile the best explanatory dictionary of the Russian language of that time.
