The publication presents the embroidered ancient clothes and costumes of the Zhydachiv ethnoregion from the collection of Klymentii Sheptytskyi Museum of Folk Architecture and Life. For the first time the text of the expedition materials collected in Zhydachiv district by Liubov Svarnyk is published. The article provides a description of the artistic features of the clothes of this period with the terminology used at the end of the 19th century. Zhydachyv district is one of the few ethnic regions where embroidery is closely combined with weaving, so the publication presents fragments of woven clothing fabrics.
