The author is the first to conduct a monographic study of the insufficiently-explored dialect of the Avarian language - Zakataly language, which for centuries functioned in the conditions of bilingualism and under the constant influence of the Azerbaijani language. The dialect is represented by two patoises (Charsky and Belokansky), which, in their turn, are divided into subpatoises with their typical peculiarities.
