The book of memoirs of the outstanding dancer and choreographer Serge Lifar (1905–1986) “Years of Harvest” is the first edition of the artist's memoirs translated into Ukrainian. The memoirs cover the period from the earliest episodes in the future artist's memory to January 13, 1923, the day Lifar arrived in Paris. The author depicts happy scenes of Kyiv's childhood, which was spent in the environment of a loving family, recalls the turbulent adolescence that fell on the years of political upheaval, creates a vivid picture of everyday life in the city. The book is a valuable biography of Kyiv in the 1910s and early 1920s, reproduced by the author through the prism of his own view of the world and events. The publication includes an article by art critic, director of the Museum of the Ukrainian Diaspora Oksana Pidsukha, which covers the life and career of Serge Lifar, opens little-known pages of his biography. The book is illustrated with rare photographs of the artist and historical photographs of Kyiv.
