The third edition of the work of the Ukrainian politician, publicist and literary critic Dmytro Dontsov, first published in 1938, is presented. The author analyzes the changes in national consciousness, contrasting the traditions of the Hetman era with the nationalism of the 19th century, which he calls the nationalism of decline.
