Snezhana Ra is a unique phenomenon of “female” poetry. Nowadays Russia sees not really enough contemporary talented poetesses, among whom it’s still worth mentioning Balmina, Fanayolova, Pavlova and Ra. Snezhana names her style Storm-Realism. Some people refer Ra’s creative work of the recent times to an uncompromising lesbian (bisexual? androgenous?) avant-garde. It’s quite possible that as of today she is simply the only avant-garde artist of theme subculture.
