The substantial part of the offered book includes reports of international scientific conference, devoted to the 300th anniversary of the foundation of great Old Belief center in North Russia - Vygov Coastal Desert. The conference took place in September 13-17, 1994, in Petrozavodsk. There were Old Belief researchers from Moscow, St.Petersburg, Petrozavodsk, Novosibirsk, as well as from the USA, Great Britain, Finland, Poland among the authors of this collection.
