The first part of the book comprises articles about literary life of Kostroma in the period from 1917 to 1953. It is based on a detailed research of local periodicals. Poetry, prose and critics were viewed from the point of common tendencies of national cultural development. The second part of the book comprises materials devoted to the lives of literary people of the XXth century and some biographical facts about poets and writers of the XIXth century who lived or worked in the Kostroma region.
