In this monograph the phraseology of Ukrainian dialects formed in the course of the XVIII-XXth centuries is under consideration from the onomasiological, areal and etymological aspects. The phraseology is observed in the Ukrainian dialectal continuum as well as in the Slavic megacontinuum (using all the Slavonic languages). Many new versions concerning the etymology of Ukrainian phraseologisms are presented.
