The collection is the first attempt in complex ethnographical description of traditional culture of the Turkic population of the Kama River Region - Tulva Tatars and Bashkirs who live in the Berdym Area of the Perm' Region. The first part studies the history of the group's formation, peculiarities of the ethnic self-consciousness, economy of the population, traditional material and spiritual culture. The second part contains texts of historical and toponymic legends, mythological stories, tokens, popular beliefs, riddles, lullabies, wedding, lyrical, dance songs, etc. recorded in villages of the Tulva River Region where Tatars and Bashkirs live.
