The first edition in Russian of travel notes by the Russian naturalist, botanist, zoologist, doctor and traveler Eduard Aleksandrovich Eversman (1794 - 1860), who joined the embassy of the tsarist government under the leadership of A.F. Negri with a caravan from Orenburg to Bukhara in the fall of 1820. The author describes the journey, which lasted 2 months and 9 days, as well as Bukhara itself, its inhabitants, and its way of life.
Prepared for the 200th anniversary of the first publication in Berlin, the reprint edition was made with a parallel translation into Russian and supplemented with maps of the described areas of that period. Translation from German by Igor Khramov.
