The textbook examines the cultural features, national traditions and customs of the peoples of Russia and foreign countries. The process of cultural globalization of the modern world often leads to the loss of specific features of the material and everyday culture of different peoples. Some peoples resist this globalization, defend their system of values, way of life, traditions and customs. Particular attention in this manual is paid to the study of the national character and mentality, way of life, features of business and everyday etiquette of different peoples, knowledge of which is necessary to correctly assess, develop tactics and strategy of relationships and be prepared for the possible manifestation of unforeseen actions and deeds of representatives of another culture. This is especially true for Eastern and Arab cultures, since representatives of these cultures strictly adhere to the traditions and customs of their countries.
