Against the background of student protests in May 1956 and the Communist Party's policy towards university students in the second half of the 1950s, the author presents an interdisciplinary, political-historical analysis of the gradual transformation of the communist regime in Czechoslovakia into a post-Stalinist regime. The publication focuses on depicting the formation of the regime's executive elites and the transformation of the process of creating the image of a "new socialist man" on the example of politics towards the young generation in the period under review.
