The monograph is about the Latvian poet Janis Ziemelnieks (1897–1930). The author of the book Janis Zalitis (1951) - literary historian, doctor of philology, participated in the preparation of the academic edition of Rainis Kopotu's articles and Imants Ziedonis' articles, co-author of the encyclopedic dictionary "Latvian Writing in Biographies". He has written about the creative and biographical issues of Lev Tolstoy, Rainis, Aspazija, Austras Skujina, Rihards Valdes, Valdemars Karklins, Andrieva Niedra, Janis Sudrabkalns and other writers; The newspaper "Laiks" (2004–2005) published a monographic reflection "The World on the Wing or the Book Friend Helmars Rudzitis". Member of the Writers' Union since 2001.
