The publication is detailed and colorfully illustrated. It provides a detailed description of almost all the species of therapsids found in our region. It is accompanied by beautiful drawings - their reconstructions. Most of these drawings were made by the famous paleoartist Dmitry Bogdanov. Some of them are the first especially for this book. Among them is the sludika. It was reconstructed based on individual teeth found at the Maryushkina Sluda site on Strelna. And obirkovia is named after the now lost village of Obirkovo, in the vicinity of which its remains were discovered a couple of decades ago.
