This monograph is devoted to a theoretical analysis of the federal form of state-territorial structure and summarizes the results of the author's research in the field of federalism theory over the past several years. It examines the legal nature of federal states, analyzes the organizational features of the two-tier system of state power in a federation, and examines the principles of its organization. A separate chapter is devoted to the problem of state unity in federal states in the context of the specific structure and functional predisposition of federal authority.
