The book is a series of articles examining little-known or unknown facts from the struggles of the Macedonian Bulgarians during the period 1944-1994 for the creation of an independent Macedonia as a way to prevent its de-Bulgarianization. Until 1948, these facts were not made public in Bulgaria. After Tito's break with Stalin, partial information was published in our country for a short period, but the West tends to turn a blind eye to the crimes committed in Yugoslavia. Only after the rapprochement between Belgrade and Moscow after 1954 did the West pay more attention to the problem of the human rights situation in Yugoslavia. On the other hand, the USSR pressured Bulgaria not to raise the issue of the Bulgarians in Macedonia.
