The monograph outlines the features and main trends in the development of the world and Russian ferrous metallurgy, the study of which was begun by researchers of the VolRC RAS in the previous four monographs since 2008. The object of the study are the three largest Russian ferrous metallurgy corporations: PJSC Severstal, PJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works and PJSC Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works, which produce about half of all steel in the country. The study itself is based on public reporting by metallurgical corporations.
