The catalog presents fabric masterpieces, the biggest part of which are objects of peasant life, in particular homemade patterns and items: festive, ritual and everyday things, such as towels, table-clothes, and valances of bed-sheets. Headdresses and clothes from different areas of Arkhangel'sk Region take a special place among these articles. Among ancient items presented in the collection of fabrics exceptional interest is given to works of the XVth - XVIIIth centuries, carrying to us traditions of Old Russian art saved in the Russian North - these are church articles and clothes of clergy embroidered with golden and silk threads, pearls and stones.
