The monograph is devoted to the study of the relationship between the Soviet government and the Russian Orthodox Church in general and in the territories of the Lower Amur region in particular from 1917 to 1930. The periodization of the policy of the Soviet government in relation to the Russian Orthodox Church is established. It is noted that the Soviet government manipulated the church crisis and provoked church schisms. Special attention is paid to the study of socio-political relations developing in the Lower Amur region. The position of the ROC in the Lower Amur region is compared with the position of the Orthodox Church in other Soviet territories.
