In the preparation of the 4th edition of the Red Book of Turkmenistan, the information of the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), as well as the previously published Red Book of the country, was used. In the new edition, the criteria of the TGHB Red List, published for the first time in 1994, were taken as the basis for determining the national status of the species.
