The monograph is devoted to the problem of fundamental technical reconstruction of the Ural railway transport on the basis of electrification, implementation of diesel locomotives and new railway lines construction.
The author proves the electrification as the main direction of modernization of railway transportation the Urals. The dynamics of increasing the Urals railway system was studied, the great significance of railroads was defined for the natural land development of Kazakhstan, the creation of West Siberian oil and gas complex, for development of the Ural metallurgical and mining industry. The complex analysis of the periods of modernization of the railway station system is demonstrated in monograph and the influence of different factors. Insufficient development of a network of marshalling yards in the Urals is shown which led to the reduction of the capacity of railways. The state policy of personnel management for modernization
process on the Ural railroads is analyzed in the monograph, the ways of reforming the educational system for training the workers and specialists are investigated. The great attention is paid to improving of the social and cultural infrastructure of the Ural railway transport. The increasing of the labour payment for railway employees and providing with comfortable housing became essential conditions for intensification
of modernization processes on the railroads.
