The present publication of the Lithuanian Metrica (an archive of the chancery of the grand Duchy of Lithuania) is the XIth Book of Court Records, a copy of the palatine's court presided over by the palatine (voevode) of Vilnius. Though covering only a span of half a year, the documents reveal the mechanism of the palatine's court functioning in the middle of the XVIth c.
