The publication is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Maxim Matveevich Zagorulko (1924-2021). Maxim Matveevich was the first rector of Volgograd State University (1980-1995), rector of Volgograd State Pedagogical Institute (1971-1980), participant of the Great Patriotic War, honorary citizen of the city of Volgograd and the Volgograd region, Doctor of Economical Sciences, Professor, Honored researcher of the Russian Federation. The book contains memories and words of gratitude of his colleagues and students.
