The events of the novel take place in the years 301-305, when Christianity is established as the state religion in Armenia and the old and new faiths collide. The hero of the novel, who from a great shock acquires the ability of a treasure finder, falling into various adventurous situations, comes to the conviction that gold and all kinds of treasures falsify the human soul, distance a person from the human. Happiness should be sought only in the roots of the purity of the soul - this is the ideological basis of the book.
