The ambition of the third book that analyzes the context of income polarization in Slovakia, is to contribute to the expansion of knowledge in the area. In three chapters we offer the results of the analysis of the relationship between the minimum, average wage and unemployment, showing the spatial profile of wage and income polarization and accompanied by complicated connections between polarization and systemic implications of the fourth industrial revolution in Slovak conditions. The gradual discovery of relevant contexts of income polarization began in the first publication by formulating a methodology, analyzing wage and income inequalities in relation to the aging population, characterizing the state of working poor and poor pensioners, identifying risks of growing income inequality arising from pension settings and pointing to external which influence polarization in Slovak society. In the second publication, attention was focused on identifying differences in the relationship between wage development and unemployment from an international perspective, the aging process in sectoral employment in the Slovak Republic, problems and options for financing the pension system with regard to income inequality, inequalities in household consumption, which are one of the indicators of income polarization and the external context of labor market formation in Slovakia.
