The book is a fully bilingual interdisciplinary scientific monograph. It contains knowledge about the influence of individual woody plants, individual intonation elements and their modifications or about the influence of various biotic factors such as wood-destroying insects or the mentioned microscopic fungi on the sound of wooden organ pipes. At the same time, it contains knowledge about the influence of abiotic conditions and the anthropogenic influence, which manifests itself mainly in various restoration techniques, which we captured in the research of historical organs in this research. Overall, this is the first interdisciplinary organological publication in this area in Slovakia, and the authors believe that it will make a significant contribution to the international discourse on the issue of historical organs.
