Mongolian horses are small but strong, very good at riding, they are less likely to tire out on long journeys, and have good endurance and patience. When mature stallions and horses are well groomed and provided with water, grass, and harness, they can travel more than 200 km in a day. They can carry a load of 120-130 kg on their backs. They lose 20-25 percent of their live weight in winter and spring, but they can fully recover from grazing in summer and autumn. Here are some interesting stories about these magnificent Mongolian horses.
