One of the reasons why Stefanik is today the most famous unknown Slovak is our history of the 20th century. The regime of the Slovak State and later the representatives of the Communist Party tried to erase his legacy from people's memory. They broke his statues, renamed streets, destroyed books, forbade talking about him, and even planted trees around his mound on a ledge so it couldn't be seen. The problem is that although there are a lot of great books about Stefanik, their format is far away for young people and in today's digital age it cannot compete with visual and simplified content. Comics are a great compromise combining the advantages of a book with the advantages of visual media, not to mention its possible application from print to online.
