Tanks on the battlefield in modern warfare are still a pretty powerful argument. And this was proved by the Russian-Ukrainian war, which has been going on since 2014. Of course, it is difficult to compare the stage of hostilities in Donbas in 2014-2015 and the large-scale invasion from February 24, 2022. However, even in a full-scale confrontation with the personnel Russian army with the massive use of aviation, missiles and artillery, the tanks showed themselves from the best side. And especially during the defense of cities, where they were able to reinforce light infantry units. One of the vivid examples is the defense of Chernihiv and Chernihiv Oblast (February 24 - April 1, 2022). And the 1st separate "Siversk" tank brigade became the main active military organization that ensured the victory.
