The book deals with Old Russian and Scandinavian sources dedicated to the power struggle between the sons of the Gran Duke Vladimir Svyatoslavovich in 1015-1019. Intestine war between Yaroslav the Wise, Sviatopolk the Accursed and their brother Boris is differently described in Old Russian chronicles, life stories of Boris and Gleb and Scandinavian sagas. This book recreates the history of Old Russian and Scandinavian extant sources. The author compares the data of these sources and determines verifiable historical reconstruction of the events of 1015-1019.
