Suvorova Street is one of the oldest streets in Vitebsk. Until the 19th century, it was called Uzgorskaya, later Officers, since 1900 - Suvorovskaya, immediately after the revolution - Volodarskaya. In 2010, the street became pedestrian. Its length is 1300 meters. There are many historical buildings on the street. Among them are the city hall of the 18th century (now the regional museum of local lore), the former shopping malls of the late 18th century (house No. 2), the former tenement houses of the 19th century (Nos. 27 and 29), the former city mansions of the 19th century (restaurant "Golden Lion" and house No. 26), communal houses of the era of constructivism (Nos. 34 and 38) and others.
