The electronical dataset addressed to a wide range of users provides official statistics on demographic, socio-economic and environmental situation in Estonia. In comparison to the hard copy of the yearbook, the CD-ROM presents longer time series mainly of the same statistical indicators. Depending on the topic, the time series begin with the years 1940—1998 and end with 1998—2000. CD-ROM offers also regional statistics. The data are presented in HTML, PC-AXIS and Exel format. PC-AXIS enables to make new tables on the basis of the tables of the database, to operate with the data within the table (to change the columns and rows of the table, to do calculations, etc.) and between the tables (to merge tables, to do calculations, etc.) to convert tables into other formats, to make graphs.
