Source study of culture is a specialized discipline within historical phenomenology. The new direction in studying history and culture is characterized with a particular attention towards the tact of real consciousness of a certain historical era. Source studies of culture posit the primacy of sources over any other forms of preliminary knowledge of research results. The "strict science" considers its primary foundation to consist not of hypotheses and conjectures of scholars, but of the experience of immediate observation of the source reality.
