The historical-adventure novel "Sons of Rorog" is based on information gleaned from the chronicles of such chroniclers as Adam of Bremen, Saxon Grammaticus, Helmald of Bassau and others. The action takes place at the end of the first millennium, during the reign of Charlemagne and his descendants. The author tells about the struggle of the Rorog-Obadrit Slavs with the conquerors, the Franks and the Danes. The Slavic prince Drazak, his brothers Godslav and Slavamir, as well as his son Haladrag, defending the independence of his principality, strive to preserve the faith and identity of their fellow tribesmen. The ancient events described in the book not only resonate in our present-day reality through geographical names, surnames, customs and rituals, but also shed light on the events of our time in a strange way.
