The book contains the most important legal documents of the reign of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich: the full text of one of the most prominent legal monuments in the history of Russia - Sobornoye Ulozheniye of 1649. The text is presented on the basis of the early printed edition of 1649. Other documents were recovered from the first volume of "Complete Collection of Laws of the Russian Empire" published in St. Petersburg in 1830.
