The collection is made up of the works of scientists, researchers of architectural monuments, who worked in the Smolensk region on the eve of the Great Patriotic War and in the first post-war years: Ivan Makarovich Khozerov (1889-1947), Pyotr Dmitrievich Baranovsky (1892-1984), Igor Dmitrievich Belogortsev (1911-1999).
