The first page of the cover is a sort of a face of the medal with which the best graduates of Lazar Institute of Oriental Languages were rewarded from 1851. The last page of the cover represents the back side of the medal: the graduates of the Institute head for the Exaltation of the Cross Church (Surb Khach) for service. Neither the Institute nor the church withstood the test of the soviet power. There was the only Institute building which survived – the house of the Lazarev.
