The monograph highlights the processes of mediatization of military conflicts in the modern humorist of media-political discourse, the level of its actualization and functions, basic theories of humor, signs, functions and typology of political caricature as the main unit of humorous media-political discourse and as a multimodal text. Based on the analysis of the hanging of Russian aggression in Ukraine in American, German, Ukrainian and Russian political cartoons. It is proved that the processes of mediatization of military conflicts require modern methodological approaches and a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods. For the implementation of research tasks, the methods of computer content analysis, frame analysis and multimodal discourse analysis were used, the similarities and differences of these methods in relation to multimodal texts were determined.
