Kravtsiv Melania (January 31, 1897, Rakiv - October 7, 1961, Toronto) - Ukrainian writer, journalist, public figure. She was born in Rakov, Dolyna County, Western Ukraine. She graduated from the Stryi Teachers' Seminary. In the postwar period she left for Austria, then emigrated to Canada (1949), received citizenship (1957). She was the first chair of the Women's Section of the League of Liberation of Ukraine in Winnipeg. She died on October 7, 1961.
