Starting from the year 2010 a new publication of regional statistics is published. It is the successor of two previous publications - “Cities and Rural Municipalities in Figures” and “Counties in Figures”. The analytical publication observes regional development on the level of counties and local government units. The changes in population, environment, social life and economy and their regional differences have been analysed. Also the attainments of objectives set out in the Strategy of Regional Development of Estonia have been analysed. A detailed overview about some region of Estonia has also been presented. The publication also includes diagrams, thematic maps and tables. The interpretation of the data has been facilitated by the description of methodology and data sources. Addressed to persons interested in regional development.
