The book states and puts into practice the principles of receptive theory of poetry in the form of individual 'experience of classical texts perusal'. The Russian lyrical novel - a genre form, traced back to Pushkin's comprehension - is analyzed. The completely new interpretation of subject matter of 'Evgeniy Onegin' is offered. The essence of metamorphism, as a genre feature of a lyrical novel, recognizable also in works by V. Nabokov “Glory” and A. Akhmatova “A Poem Without a Hero”, is traced implicatively. The idea of succession of genre tradition is expressed and illustrated by genre form metamorphism, hence denying the understanding of a novel as a genre matrix.
