The reader is offered a book on the classification, typology, design and history of construction of fortifications of the German army within the positions of twelve infantry and one cavalry division of the First World War in the Smorgon and Myadel districts of Belarus. Information on the current state of storage facilities, arsenals, bunkers and military burials is provided in the form of photographs, drawings and maps of the early XX and XXI centuries. The issue of preservation of the mentioned objects as historical and cultural heritage of the Republic of Belarus is considered.
