In Moldavia the national language issue is considered to be more significant than in any other republic of the former Soviet Union. The peculiarities of the Soviet national policy on the territory mentioned above, as well as the so-called phenomenon of 'moldovenism' has played a really important role in this case, because virtually a new nation was created between Prut and Dnestr Rivers that tended to differ from the rest of Romanian nation. The present work deals with different aspects of this problem.
