The monograph is dedicated to political repressions of the Red Army chief commanding staff in 1937-1938. The research of political repressions in the Special Red Banner Far East Army (front) is of an exceptional interest, as these very troops had to feel all the consequences of the repressions policy when they were at Khasan Lake.
