The book is based on the reminiscences of the descendants of Ivanov, who gave the name to the house in the beginning of the XXth century and describes not only historical events, but the life of the city as well. For the first time in Yaroslavl local history studies the three-centuries-long history of the house and its residents from the very building in 1680’s up to its turn into the communal flat in Soviet times is studied.
