This book deals with the kings and dynasties from the 1340s to the 1790s, to which our ancestors were subjects. The first part tells about the kings from the Piast, Anjou and Jagiellonian dynasties. The second part highlights the stories of the elected kings, who were elected by the nobility at the electoral seyms in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Eighteen essays present biographies of monarchs and histories of dynasties in the context of our history.
