Laura Josephine D’Abrantes (1784 - 1838), or the Duchess D’Abrantes, was a wife of the French General Junot, awarded with the title of Duke D’Abrantes by Napoleon for the conquest of Portugal and Spain. She is the author of many works, including a famous notes about the Spanish and Portuguese wars and about the era from the Revolution to the Restoration.
