Based on the reconstruction of relations between the center of Russia and the territory of the Kola Peninsula the role of one of the most productive regional lines "northern vector" in the security and economic growth in the Middle Ages and the New Era is revealed. The process of formation and functioning of strategic infrastructure on the territory of the Kola Peninsula is investigated in the broader context of development of the Russian state and the dynamics of international relations.
